Who You'll Be Working With
Claire Dean
Non-Registered Sales Assistant
I joined McClintock Advisory Services, Inc. in August 2023 as an assistant to Heather. I was excited and eager to learn as much as I could about the financial planning business and the wonderful clients we serve.
I graduated from Iona University in May 2023 with a BA in Psychology and a minor in Political Science. Growing up in Floral Park alongside Heather’s family, I stay very active in the community and church. I have a great love for travel and adventure, and I spend my free time exploring as many places as I possibly can!
Denise Rome
Office Manager
I joined McClintock Advisory Services, Inc. in August 2023 as the part-time Office Manager. I am the "welcoming" committee for all visitors and phone calls, ensuring the office runs like a well-oiled machine.
Before joining McClintock Advisory Services, I was a partner in an accounting firm located in NYC’s theater district for 45 years until my partner and I sold the business in December 2019.
My husband and I have lived in Floral Park for 50 years, having bought our home when we got married. We raised our daughter and son here and we are also proud grandparents to a wonderful granddaughter.
Living just around the corner from Heather, one day in July 2023, we were getting our nails done when I mentioned how tired I was of being home and retired. Heather asked if I wanted to join her team as she moved forward with McClintock Advisory Services and the rest, as they say, is history.

President/Financial Advisor
The only constant in life is change. As I tell my two college-age children, life is not a straight line - it’s more like a series of zigzags. How can one prepare for this constant change; these zigzags in life? Well, it would be good to start with a plan, especially a financial plan. Doing so will help you navigate the curveballs life throws your way. It might entail crafting plans A, B, and C to get through it, but this is by far better than the alternative - no plan!
As I write this while looking back on my life, each time I was sure of my plan, life stepped in and showed me a slightly different direction. For example, when I went to law school, my plan was to be a litigator. Then I had the chance to work in a litigation law firm where I learned that the lifestyle of a litigator was not a good fit for me. So I changed my plan to focus on business law. I landed my dream job doing international business law. And then I became a mother. I decided to take a few years off to raise my small children with a plan to return to the law. Then a dear family member asked me to assist him with his financial planning practice. I am so glad I said YES! Thirteen years later, I am enjoying advising our clients on their financial journey. For me, the fact that I always had a financial plan in place allowed me to pivot along my life’s journey. I would be very happy to help you create your own financial plan to guide you along your journey.
I began my career in financial services in 2011 working with my cousin, Tommy Blair. In July 2024, I took on a leadership role when Tommy transitioned into semi-retirement. Prior to working in the financial services world, I had a career as a lawyer in corporate finance. I earned a Bachelor of Arts Cum Laude from St. John’s University in 1993, followed by a Juris Doctor Cum Laude from Brooklyn Law School in 1997, and a Masters of Law in Transnational Business Practice from McGeorge School of Law in 1998. Additionally, I am licensed with FINRA Series 7, 66, and hold Life & Health Insurance licenses.
I have lived in Floral Park, NY, for 22 years with my husband, Brian, and our two children, Finbar and Marygrace. I enjoy giving back to my community through volunteer work. I am a member of the Floral Park Chamber of Commerce and the Floral Park Belmont Park Task Force. I am also a member of the Parish Council of my church, Our Lady of Victory. I truly enjoy being involved with teaching a course at Molloy University in Finance and Budgeting to young adults with developmental disabilities. All of these endeavors allow me to share my experience with my community.
Thomas Blair
Chairman Emeritus/Financial Advisor
I have been a Certified Financial Planner since 1984 and am a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU). Before creating The Blair Group, Inc. in 1991, I worked with my father, Harry F. Blair, Jr., in our family's funeral business, Harry F. Blair, Sons. This Brooklyn-based business was started by my grandfather in 1900. During my tenure in this business, I first became aware of the financial devastation that can befall families, particularly widows, who had not proactively planned for life without the family breadwinner.
After graduating from CUNY-Baruch College in 1973 with a BBA in Finance, I continued to pursue my two avocations, thanatology and finance. I supported bereaved family members both emotionally and through financial services until I decided to make a career change in 1984, when I joined Fundamental Brokers, Inc. I sold the family business in 1988, left the brokerage business in 1990, and began work as a Certified Financial Planner, opening The Blair Group, Inc. in 1991. I am now semi-retired and happy to continue to travel the world while I still can; as well as to continue to be an advisor to all of our clients.
I have been married for 51 years. My wife, Margaret Ann, retired after 50 years in education. I have two grown sons who have both entered the financial field. Thomas is a Managing Director for Merrill Lynch Commodities, and Timothy is a Managing Director in Debt Capital Markets for Mizuho. My daughter-in-law, Natasha, is a stay-at-home mom taking care of two wonderful children, Lachlan and Sawyer. My other daughter-in-law, Nathalie, is a stay-at-home mom taking care of two beautiful children, a daughter, Camille and a son, Charlie. I have lived and raised my family in Garden City for over forty-two years, where I was an active member of my parish, St. Joseph's. I currently devote time to activities at Chaminade High School.
